1/4″ Anti-Vacuum (Siphon) Valve
Also called a siphon or vacuum breaker valve, this fitting lets air escape the boiler as water heats, hissing and then sealing shut once operating pressure builds. Now available in stainless steel.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Male thread OD: 1/2″ (1/4″ BSP)
- Stainless steel construction (available since 06/01/2019)
- Recommended orientation: vertical, though it will function horizontally

INSTALLATION
DIY-friendly; drain boiler pressure before removing the old valve.
PRO TIPS
- Gaskets aren’t always required – as the valve and boiler expand with heat, small leaks at the junction typically seal themselves. As a rule of thumb, if your old valve had a gasket, install a fresh one for added assurance.
- Measure the outside of your existing valve’s male threads (should read about 1/2″) before ordering to confirm fitment.
